Zucchini Cutlets

Hello my reader.
Welcome back to the recipe section of my blog. Today I am going to share with you my favorite zucchini cutlets recipe. As I heard, zucchini cutlet originally comes from Greece. I dont know much how it tastes in Greece, but here in my kitchen it tastes and smells amazingly.

This is my own way of making this delicious food, so some of the ingredients may be different from original one. Here I take:
  1. 2 medium zucchinis
  2. 5-6 small cloves of garlic
  3. one medium onion
  4. salt (2/3 teaspoon)
  5. coriander (by taste)
  6. spring onion (by taste)
  7. black pepper (by taste)
  8. 2 tablespoon of flour
  9. oregano (by taste)
  10. 1 egg (for those who are vegetarians, you can avoid egg, instead you can add little more flour)

We start the process with peeling out the zucchinis  and shredding by grater. Once it grated, add the salt, because it will bring all the water out. Squeeze out all the excess water from the grated zucchini.

Season with black pepper, oregano, then add mashed garlic, chopped onion, spring onion, coriander, eggs and flour. Gently mix the mixture.

Make a  cutlets from mixture and,  fry it in oil, over medium heat for 10 minutes each side, till lightly browned.

Remove extra oil by putting it on the napkin.

Cutlets are ready, and today we will have it with macaronis.

Hope you have liked this recipe and soon I will hear feedback from your own experience.
Have a nice working days.

LAKME, Absolute Make-up Remover- Review

(Dear friends, this post includes affiliate link).
Hi guys, welcome back to my blog. Since the date I have started to write posts on my beauty section so many people asked me about my skin care. I would like to say that yeah most of the time I do care about my skin with homemade natural products, which I am  making by my own. But of course I do use also cosmetic products, and it can be in any brand (from local to international) with any price. The most important is quality, if I like it, I will take it, that's it.
So today I want to share my opinion about LAKME Absolute BI-Phased Make-up
This product comes with beautiful light blue plastic flacone.

It's a liquid with two layers, with different consistency.
Lets see what Lakme says about product.
"This Bi- phased make -up remover has a unique formula that gets activated on simple shaking the bottle. The oil helps in lifting off the make-up, while the water helps in deeply refreshing the skin. It gently, but thoroughly removes all kind of make-up, even longwearing and waterproof lip, eye and face make-up, leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth".
You need to shake it, then apply it on cotton pad and gently clean your face make-up zone.
Personally I never like waterproof cosmetic products, but  few weeks ago, by mistake I have bought a waterproof  mascara, and this make-up remover seriously saved me from problems. It has not given me any allergy reaction, when I used it for eye make-up removing. Frankly said it works so smoothly, that it feels very natural. After you clean up your make-up, you can wash your face with normal water and dry with soft napkin.
The flacone comes in 60 ml, and cost 230 rupees. Which is not really expensive for such product.

The written post is my personal opinion regarding to quality of this product.

How to Grow Tomatoes in Pots

Hello my readers, happy Sunday to all of you. Those days the weather is so marvelous here, that all time I have a wish to go somewhere out.
Weather in India such supporting, that we can grow everything at home. And I have decided to try it. I have grown coriander, parsley, lemon and the last and most challenging was tomatoes.
And today I am going to share with you the process of growing tomatoes in pot.
First of all we need a soil, which should be cleaned from plastics, stones, or any other kind of non organic elements.
If the pot had a soil inside before, we need to take it out. Make it fluffy, which will provide air and moisture circulation needed by plants.

Fill soil in to the pot, and moisture every layer.

When you reach around 12 sm deep to pot level you can put the tomatoes.
First cut it with around shape the way that every piece will have seeds.

The piece which do not have seeds is useless (like this one) .

For this pot I will put three pieces, and am expecting to see around 6-7 plants.

Then we fill the pot with soil till the top. Here I will put soil little more, but after watering it few times it will come down.

Since in  Delhi weather is not cold I will not cover it, but if you live in mountainous areas where sometime it gets cold, in that case you need to cover it during the night. And also to protect it from dryness you can cover it with polythene.
Proper watering is a big key to success for growing tomatoes in pots. Keep soil consistently moist but not saturated. Use the finger test to see if a plant needs water. If the top inch of soil is dry when you push your finger into it, it's time to give it a water.
After two weeks approximately first spires will come out. When it grows around 7 to 10 sm you can slowly, without hurting the roots shift it to another pot, such us one pot is very small for 6 to 7 spires.
In one pot you can grow maximum 2 or 3.
When it grows you need to insert some support (it can be stick or a metal ) to help it grow straight. (I did not done it yet, but it was a mistake). After one month you will be able to see first flowers on it, and then it will change to the small tomatoes.

Hope this post will help many of you, to  use empty pots for growing tomatoes at home.

Story behind Valentine's Day

Hello my reader. Today is a special day, day of love. Tough I think when we are in love, everyday becomes celebration, but it still good to have one special day for it.
Happy Valentine's day to all of you.

I wish in this beautiful day, you all are having someone with whom you celebrate it.
Love is the most beautiful filling, which humankind can experience.
But I am not going to write about love itself. Today I will write about the story of  Valentine's Day, and it's significance.
Saint Valentine's Day is holiday celebrated on February 14.
It is originated as a Western Christian Festival honoring saints named Valentinus. The Catholic Church recognizes at least three different Saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred.
Although it is not a public holiday but in many countries it's a cultural celebration.
The earliest description of February 14 as an annual celebration of love appears in the Charter of the Court of Love. The charter, allegedly issued in 1400, which describes lavish festivities to be attended by several members of the royal court, including a feast amorous song and poetry competitions. jousting and dancing, The participating ladies would hear and rule on disputes from lovers.

There are various stories associated with this day, but the most famous is the story of Saint Valentine of Rome, who was imprisoned for performing weeding of soldiers who were forbidden to marry. Another story suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prison, where they were often beaten and tortured.

According to legend, Saint Valentine fallen in love with daughter in his jailer Asterius and before his execution he wrote her a letter signed "Your Valentine".

This day first became associated with romantic love within the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the 14th century. Started from 18th century in England lover expressed love for each other by sending flowers, greeting cards, confectionery.

By the middle of 18th century it was common for friends and lovers of all social classes to exchange small tokens of affection or handwritten notes, and by 1900 printed cards began to replace written letters.

Today's Valentine's Day symbols include heart shaped outlines, doves, soft toys, sweets.
Red, pink and white are the colors of this day.
Red symbolize energy, passion and deep love.Pink color associated with affection, sweetness and understanding. Light pink can represent grace, gentility, admiration and friendship, where dark pink associates gratitude, appreciation and thankfulness. And white color symbolize spiritual love, purity, reverence, humility and faithfulness.
I think now you will clearly understand, which color you should wrap the gift of your loved one.

Wish You all Happy Valentine's Day

Semolina Porridge, the healthiest food for babies

Semolina porridge is a one of the healthiest food, which most of pediatricians  advice to parents of children  below three years.
Semolina is a purified wheat middlings of durum wheat, which is used for making pastas, breakfast cereals, puddings.

The word 'semolina' comes from Italian word  'semola',  which means 'flour'.
An analysis of the major nutrients found in semolina shows that it is high in protein very high in complex carbohydrates and potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium and fibre, also with some iron, zinc manganese and copper.
Semolina porridge was favorite food of my childhood. Once I have grown up, I started to make it by myself and adding different flavors. So here is my recipe for semolina porridge.

We need:
  1. 1.5 cup of milk
  2. 0.5 cup of water
  3. 6 tablespoon of semolina
  4. 3 tablespoon of sugar (you can add more or less)
  5. 50 gram butter

How to make a Vermishel Salad

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog, Today I am going to make a vermishel salad.
This one is amazing and one of the favorite recipe of my husband. Everytime I make it, I dont even get a piece, it finishes within few minutes.

For this we need :
  1. 100 grams of vermishel
  2. 1 capsicum
  3. 1 carrot
  4. Soy sauce 3 tablespoon
  5. vinegar 1 tablespoon
  6. olive oil 2 tablespoon
  7. salt (by taste)
  8. chili pepper (by taste)
  9. celery (by taste)
First we boil vermishel.
Here I will take half of the class. Remember that before pouring it into water, make sure the water is boiling and it has a salt in it.

Once the vermishel is in water, wait one minute and low the flame. It gets ready very fast. So it will take only few  minutes.
Once you winnow it, put one spoon of olive oil on vermishel, which will protect it for being sticky. Now lets come to our vegetables.
We chop all the vegetables to small pieces, according to the style of vermishel ( so here it will look like a  sticks ). First we chop capsicum, carrot (my carrots came with not so small pieces) and then we chop a celery.

In another bowl me prepare sauce part.
Here we add 3 spoon of soya sauce, one spoon of vinegar and one spoon of olive oil.

Then we mix  vermishel with vegetables, and then we pour the sauce part on it. In the end we add salt and chili pepper by taste. Hope you will like this simple and easy recipe.

Causes of Premature Hair Whitening and Natural Remedies against it

This post includes affiliate links.
Hi my reader, welcome back to Beauty section of my blog.
Today I am going to write about very actual problem of this decade: premature greying of hair.
It was about one year that I was living in India and one day I looked at mirror and I realized I have so many white hairs. Frankly said, that all day I have spent with thoughts, that I am getting old, and most probably that thought made 1000 more hairs to get white.

It's not really pleasant situation and specially when you are not even 30. Later on, I got to know that in India, premature hair greying or whitening is prevailing due to some circumstances.
This phenomenon affects all age groups and genders.

This process appears when the pigment, which cause hair color, is not being produced. For example,  we have a melanin  pigment which is responsible for color of hair. When the cells do not synthesize normal amount of melanin,  hair lose the color. Generally it happens by age, when capability of melanin producing declines, but because of many other reasons, it started to happen also with young people, even sometimes with children.
The study says, that the most common cause of premature hair greying is genetic.
Some other study showed that your ethnicity makes a difference, Caucasians are the most famous with premature hair greying, and they are followed by Asians.

Vitamins and minerals have a significant effect on skin and hair. Especially vitamin B12, zinc, iron, iodine and copper are responsible for nourishment  of  hair scalp, which assist metabolic process of giving hair a natural color.

Stress is another reason for hair whitening, though some scientists believe that stress does not effect to the pigments directly but it can cause a hair lose, after which your hair can grow without pigment.

Lifestyle is  one of the important cause of early hair whitening, for example smoking can stress your hair and skin (here it comes also air pollution, with it's huge effect on skin and hair).

Hair whitening also can be due to some medical conditions, such as anemia, hypothyroidism, tuberous sclerosis and neurofibromatosis.

Any improvements we do for our wellbeing will be bonus for our hair.Well balanced diet which contains proteins and carbohydrates are great for hair growth.
Remember that cells, which are responsible for hair growth and hair color are not the same, those are only working together.

And in the end I want to share one home remedy for premature hair greying. Here we need:
  1.  Coconut oil -1 cup
  2. Curry Leaves- Handful
Curry leaves are most common herbs used for hair treatment. It's the most effective white hair solution. Vitamin B present in curry leaves restores the function of natural pigment of the hair follicles that provides a color. It also supplies essential nutrients to the hair and heals damaged hair roots. Being a rich source of beta-carotene it stimulates hair growth and prevents hair fall.

About benefits of coconut oil, I have already wrote down in my previous posts in Beauty section, just would like to add that it's also natural conditioner for dry, rough hair. it makes hair lustrous, bouncy and manageable. This one I really love.

So here we need to boil curry leaves in coconut oil for 6  to 8 minutes till leaves turn black.
Let it cool, then strain the oil in a container and massage  your scalp with this oil 3 to 4 times a week before going to bed. Wash off in the morning.

Stay healthy and beautiful

Love Story, which started with Two Napkins

Please click to the link below to enjoy this story with beautiful love music.

October...
I am sitting in central library of Yerevan and preparing for midterm exams. Exams are hard, and most of my time I spend by sitting here and trying to figure out all chemical tasks. I am in fourth year of my study and in the end of this academic year I will achieve my Bachelor Degree, will go back to my town and start working as a teacher.

This is what it was in my mind, when I was preparing for  "Solid State Chemistry" exam. From one side wanted to enjoy my last year in university, from other side I was need to get  good knowledge and high marks.

I had a quite active student years, I was a member of different student organizations, have gone to several summer camps, organized  donations and charities, have taken part in all the univeristy events.  After all this, it was kind of stressful for me to imagine myself in town, where literally nothing exist, except three schools and few banks. But my family was living there and I was suppose to go back.

So that day was one of the "Days in Library", where  from one side 5-6 chemistry books, from other side Mendeleev's periodic table on my hand, I was trying to concentrate to my task, but someone behind me was sneezing all the time, it seems he has a flue. He was continuously sneezing around 30-40 minutes, finally I felt so irritated  that took two napkins from my bag, turn to the person, put it on his table and said: " It seems You need this".

Before that, I couldn't see who was sitting there, since he was behind me, only after I did all this, I could see he was a stranger, foreigner, and could hardly understand what I said.
The guy was looking at me with "question mark" on the face, trying to figure out what I have said. He definitely did not understand me.
With the feeling that I did something wrong, I turn to periodic table and continued my task.
After few minutes some other guy came to him and they started conversation. I could not understand what about they were talking, since it was another language. After conversation finished the second person has left, the first one started to pack his bag, he step to me and said with broken Armenian language: "Sorry Madam for disturbing You".
Then he left...
Kind of smile came to my face, but I just controlled my feeling and  came back to my study.
After few minutes I forgot about this incident.

Two weeks have passed, I gave my exams, got high marks, and again came to library, but this time just to read some book.
I was sitting near to window, watching out to the park in front of library, and same time reading a novel. It was a sunny, lovely day, and many people were outside. But I dont know why, I decided to spend my time in library.
There were few girls sitting around the same table with me. One of them was very happy, she was waiting to her fiance to come, since they have planned to go a jewellery shop and buy a marriage ring. She was getting married within few weeks. She was very excited and telling all the preparation details to her friends, and it has taken my attention too. I stopped reading and started to watch outside, my mind flaw away. I was thinking that how is going to be my marriage? with whom I will get married? how I will feel in that time?

Suddenly someone thump to my chair from behind. I turned back and saw, that was a same guy whom I have given napkins, he was trying to find a place there to sit, since whole library was full of students. He was surprised to see me there, but I just kindly moved my chair to give a place to him. He again took his sit behind me. After sometime we got acquainted, and started to talk.
He was an Indian, and couldn't speak Armenian, and I was not speaking English, but some universal language was connecting us. I don't know how, but we could understand each other. We were talking the way, like we known each other for centuries, we forgot about books, we forgot where we are.

In that day I could not even imagine that it's a start of a long journey, which will change my entire life. After eight years this guy will become my husband, and one day I will find that two napkins in his rack, gingerly kept with other symbols of our love.

To be continued...
